Hello, I'm Carlos Zamora, President at Tech Designs and this is my story...
As a child, I watched my father carve rings from stainless steel as a hobby, using only files and sandpaper.
It took him several weeks to finish each piece, and I was always excited to see him achieve something that seemed impossible to me at the time.
He taught me to be passionate about everything I do, and his patience and determination continue to inspire me even today.
When I was 21, I followed my father’s example and started working in the jewelry industry. Different than other designers I was (and still am) fascinated with every facet of the design and manufacturing process. I loved being able to create something I admired.
Over the years, my curiosity took me to learn everything from casting, soldering and engraving to diamond setting, wax sculpting and CAD jewelry design.
I started my journey in 1986 as a jeweler apprentice in New York City and continued my leaning career in Vicenza, Milan and Brescia Italy as well as Spain. I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the most successful jewelry designers in the United States.
